  • Beacon Villages Community Library is run by a charity for the community across Pitstone, Ivinghoe, Cheddington, Marsworth, Slapton and beyond.
  • We are very fond of books, but we are about much more than paper. We aim to provide entertainment, education, and information, to support the community, and to offer a friendly pace to meet.
  • Whether you need a book for your homework, want to visit the Which? website for free, or would like to check what night to put your bins out – we’ll be happy to help.
  • You can find us in the Town Hall on Ivinghoe High Street. We are open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon and Saturday mornings.

Books

Books are, of course, an important part of the service that Beacon Villages Community Library offers to residents across Pitstone, Ivinghoe, Cheddington, Marsworth, Slapton, Ivinghoe Aston, and the surrounding area.

The library may be small, but it offers a full range of books for children and adults. We can also provide books for reading and book clubs – if you have a special need or interest, please speak to our library manager who will be happy to help.

As well as the books on the shelves at BVCL, you can also reserve books from elsewhere in Buckinghamshire or further afield for a small fee, or you can borrow an e-book.

If you would like some inspiration for your next read, you can access the Who else writes like… database, which will provide helpful suggestions based on your favourite authors. Our library manager and volunteers are also on hand to help. Follow the links above and below for help on these areas, or get in touch: 01296 387890 or info@bvcl.org.uk.
